- Sneaking around the yard like a private eye K9
- Fetch with my incredibly bouncy Huck and Hurley toys
- Bury the old paw covers (shoes) that my pet parents don’t wear
- Meeting new friends, particularly at the park
- Figuring out the challenges for the Everlasting toy range
- Giving my pet parents slobbery kisses
- Chasing the birds
- Trying to catch my own tail
What would be your favourite thing to eat?
It’s got to be Starvin Marvins all natural oven baked biscuits. They are so crunchy and delicious, it makes my mouth water just thinking about them. Oh, the honey and peanut nut combo… I admit I go a bit nutty for. Sometimes I do like a change of pace though. When I want to relax in the sun and gnaw away at something, I like the choice between Vegetarian Ears and Pegetables. I like to mix it up. One day I can really go a Carrot Pegetable, when other days a Vegetarian Ear really hits the spot. Who’d have thought it, but I love my vegetable treats!
What are your least favourite things in the world?
- The mailman
- Stormy weather and those loud flashes of light that come from the sky
- Having a bath, unless my human parents use that Squirt stuff for dogs
Tell us about a day in the life of Marvin. M. Mutz.
First thing in the morning I like to jump out of my very own Hound House and watch the sunrise from over the fence. I have a few friendly bird friends that come visit me every morning. We play around the tree until they decide that it’s breakfast time. The birds tell me that one day they will teach me how to fly just like them. So far I can jump up to the first branch of the tree, but soon I’m sure I’ll get there.
It’s then time for me to wake up my human parents. I try to make sure that the rest of the neighbourhood is up as well, as they all seem to need to get somewhere once the sun is up. I don’t know where they go, but I’m sure it’s fun. My human parents come and give me lots of cuddles and a couple of chew toys from my selection. I know they hide all my toys in the laundry, but I only get a couple every day. I think its all part of this game they play with me. I have lots of what they call StarMark Everlasting and West Paw toys that I never know which ones I’m going to get to play with that day.
When my human parents have left, I bury my toys. That way I can run around for an hour or so, and then have to try and remember where I hid them. Its great fun, particularly when I do find the toys. Then I can work on trying to pull the toys apart. So far I am yet to find a weakness in what they call the West Paw toys, but I’m trying to work on that. They are really fun to chew on though in the meantime.
Slowly, but surely, I feel my tummy start to rumble and I know that it is getting close to dinner time. I can smell the delicious scents of food rising from all over the place. I look for my Treat Ball or Fire Plug, which I know will be packed with yummy goodies but those darn toys can be a pickle sometimes. They get connected together by these Everlocking Treats that taste great, but make getting the food out of my toys even more difficult. I’m getting faster at getting my dinner out, because I now know that I can eat up all of the Everlocking Treats. I like the challenge, and am curious to see how else my human parents can connect the toys together.
Soon my human parents arrive and I get to do some more of my favourite things. I meet a couple of my doggy friends down at the park and we have a good chat and run around. Then I get to play fetch or catch with my human parents using toys like my flying disc (Zisc) and bouncy bone (Hurley). There’s a great pond at that park too so sometimes I go for a splash about in there. I know I can take my toys in with me because they all float. At the park is where I get to enjoy loads on my favourite Starvin Marvins treats. I know that if I fetch, sit, stay, play dead or do anything my human parents tell me to, I get to enjoy these delicious tasting bikkies. I love Starvin Marvins biscuits.
I always get nice and muddy after the park, so when I get home my human parents give me a bath. I like pawing at the suds from that Squirt stuff for dogs when my parents are trying to bathe me. They yelp and make more noise than I do, so that must mean they enjoy me splashing them with soapy water. I like the way the Squirt stuff smells and feels on my coat. It also scores me extra cuddles, which I love too.
I end my day in my cosy Hound House. My belly is as full as my day was fun and exciting. I cannot wait for a new day to begin and I can do this all over again! I spare a thought for some of my brothers and sisters that may not have such a cosy home, delicious treats and food, or loving human parents like me, and I wish every day I could save them all…
Maybe, one day.
